6th ECHEMS Meeting

Electrochemistry in Interfacial Nanoscience
The conference will be held on the Sandbjerg Estate on June 20-23, 2010. Sandbjerg is a modern conference site situated on the contryside in southern Denmark close to the German border.

In keeping with the informal spirit of these meetings, the participation is limited to a restricted number of people (50-80). In addition, because of the informal nature of these meetings and the participation of many young researchers, the meeting fee is relatively low.

The selection of this topic originates from our belief that electrochemistry plays a pivotal role in Interfacial Nanoscience, no matter if the aim is to create and investigate nanostructures on surfaces or to study and orchestra processes going on at the interfaces for applications such as solar cells, sensors, catalysis, switches or molecular components. Electrochemistry is important in the electrosynthesis of molecules and materials and for controlling the architecture of molecules on interfaces but also in the analysis and characterization of the interfaces and for studying the dynamics of interfaces. Well-known lecturers are invited to introduce some of the most relevant achievements and current challenges of the selected topic. Their goal shall be to trigger interest and new ideas for future electro-chemical projects and collaborations in this rapidly growing area of research.
The ECHEMS Meetings, Electrochemistry in ... have been held since 2005 in Italy, Spain, Czech republic, France and Germany adressing different topics of Organic Electrochemistry.
